Project profile · Kathu
Kalahari Golf Estate
An 18-hole, par-72 golf estate in the camelthorn forest of Kathu, with residential stands, a game reserve and full estate amenities.
The development
Golf in the Kalahari.
Kalahari Golf Estate is a security-controlled lifestyle and retirement development in Kathu, built around an 18-hole, par-72 course that runs through 25 hectares of preserved camelthorn trees. The course is rated among the top 30 in South Africa, and the estate borders a 500-hectare game farm, so the development sits inside a working game reserve rather than a manicured park.

A build-out that keeps running
The estate is a long-phase development: stands are released and houses are built over many years, and the estate's own announcements include a village of smaller units for owners who want a lower-maintenance home. Every new phase means more roads, services, buildings and site supervision.
A Northern Cape market, not a coastal one
Buyers here are mining and agricultural professionals, retirees and investors who want a solid, well-managed home close to work. That changes what a development has to deliver: dependable services, real build quality and a team that is actually on site.
Where RCT fits in
- Civil works for new phases: roads, curbs, stormwater, water and sewer reticulation and bulk services.
- Residential construction — full houses on owner stands, from foundation and slab to roof, services and finishes.
- Estate buildings and amenities: clubhouse and restaurant areas, maintenance facilities and service buildings.
- Plant and engineering support for estate operations, including pump stations, irrigation and backup installations.
- Owner-side services: feasibility, quantity surveying, cost and progress reporting for buyers and investors.

Estate facts are taken from Kalahari Golf Estate's own website and public reporting. RCT is a contractor and development partner working in and around the estate; it is not the developer or owner of the estate.
